I've never been good at this.

By my count, this is my sixth attempt at a blog.

My first attempt was actually on Blogger, way back in the day—oh, say, 2005 or so. I probably wrote all of four entries, posted within a week or so.

I tried again in 2007-2008, while I was doing my year of service. I surprised myself, and got twenty entries written over the course of a year or so. That poor blog has been gathering dust ever since.

I've had two Blogger blogs, a WordPress blog, a Posterous blog, and a Google Sites blog. Oh yeah, and a webpage from Villanova which I (at one point) tried to blog on.

All remarkably unsuccessful. So, why am I trying again?

Actually, it's not because I really feel like writing. Posterous, which was powering my domain's homepage / blog, is closing the doors of its blogging service, and as of April 30th, there probably would be nothing but a sad error message to welcome you to my domain, dcipolla.org.

No self-respecting geek would let that happen, so I've decided to bring in Blogger for a third go-round.

If I were you, I wouldn't expect a whole lot to get posted here. But hey, it should be better than an error message—marginally.
